Father’s Day is this Sunday, and we want to celebrate all the great dads who work hard and provide unconditional love and guidance to their kids. Usually, Nick is the one who writes a few lines in each newsletter, but I decided to take this opportunity to dedicate a few words to the man and father behind Hook’d Up Seafood. Please, bear with me as English is my second language.
For most of you who have had the pleasure to meet or talk to Nick, you probably can tell how passionate he is about seafood and his genuine desire to make everyone happy when they visit the store or come to the farmers market. As a father, he brings the same excitement and love for both of our kids. Nick was the one who taught me how to change a diaper when Sebastian came into our lives and the one who bathed the kids for the first time since I was concerned about their belly buttons. His love for Sebastian and Sophia cannot be put into words. Nick is a man of few words – believe me when I say this ;), but he always finds a way to show his affection and sweet side to our wonderful kids. He is Sebastian’s biggest fan at the baseball field and Sophia’s mentor and tutor when she rehearses her lines for an upcoming play.
Apologies if I am not talking about a specific fish or the ongoing specials we might have at the store, but I want to honor the great dad Nick is, and believe me when I say that you will probably be able to see this great side of him when he recommends you a particular fish or gives you tips on how to cook them.
To all the Dads reading these lines, Happy Father’s Day, and keep loving and supporting your kids every step of the way.
