-
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
-
1/4 cup sugar
-
1/4 cup sesame oil
-
1/4 cup red wine
-
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
-
1 tablespoon cornstarch
-
1 tablespoon water
-
1 (6-ounce) salmon fillet
-
Olive Oil
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
4 ounces fresh spinach, stemmed
-
4 slices red onion
-
2 slices red tomato
-
1 green onion, cut lengthwise to halves
Directions
-
Bring the vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, wine, and garlic to a boil in a saucepan, stirring occasionally.
-
Mix the cornstarch and water in a bowl until blended; gradually add to the vinegar mixture, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened. Remove from the heat and cover to keep warm.
-
Coat the fillet with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill the fillet on a gas grill until medium-well or to the desired degree of doneness. Toss the spinach with just enough of the warm balsamic dressing in a bowl to coat, mound in the center of a serving plate. Arrange the fillet over the spinach and top with the red onion slices, tomato slices and green onion.
-
Spoon the shrimp mixture onto a serving plate and sprinkle the cabbage, carrots, almonds, and herbs.
